FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is use of footwear polish substrate prepared by thermooxidative destruction at 80- 130 C in the presence of radical initiator of mixture containing 10-20 wt.% of high pressure-polyethylene or polypropylene, 1-5 wt.% of sunflower oil and white spirit or kerosene, the balance as agent for anticorrosion protection and restoration of luster of colored metallic surfaces.
