DIFFERENTIAL DRIVE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: differential drive has at least two drive motors and at least one differential wave transmission. The latter includes wave generator, flexible and moving rigid wheels and output link. One of drive motors is engaged with internal toothed rim of wave generator by means of idle gears. Moving rigid toothed wheel is coupled to output link directly. Other drive motor is coupled to flexible wheel of wave transmission through toothed coupling. Differential drive provides for wide range of adjustment of output link speed due to summing-up or subtraction of angular velocities of drive motor rotation and reduction of time of transient processes during motor starting, braking and reversing.
