FIELD: production of furniture for dwelling, production and office rooms. SUBSTANCE: piece of furniture is made from plastic or metal panels, wood-fiber or splint-slab plates, plywood or parts made from natural wood. Piece of furniture has member made in the form of panel which is contractional part of furniture. This part is adapted to be heated with electric current and is manufactured from laminated material containing current-conductive composite fibrous woven or nonwoven layer covered at both sides with electrically insulating layers of paper, fiber glass, veneer sheet and/or polymeric films etc. Layers are glued one with the other or pressed upon impregnation with organic thermosetting or thermoplastic resins. Device for supplying power to heating member is made in the form of current-conductive metal strips embedded in heating member in contact with current-conductive layer. Current-conductive and electrically insulating layers may be applied to one or two sides of splint-slab (wood-fiber) panel or one-piece wooden board and covered with ornamental paper layers or layers of plastic and/or transparent polymeric film. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, enhanced reliability in operation and improved electrical safety. 2 cl, 3 ex
