FIELD: food-processing, chemical and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: mixer has frame, cylindrical mixing drum, drive for rotating drum about central axis, drive for rocking drum whose axis is out of coplanarity with respect to and at right angle to axis of rotation of drum, mechanism for rotating drum and fixing it in predetermined positions of charging basic mixture components, mixing these components and discharging produced mixture from drum. Drum rocking drive is formed as physical pendulum with trigger mechanism. Drum rotating mechanism axis is aligned with drum rocking axis. Maximum diameter of drum charging-discharge opening is 0.28 of mixer drum inner diameter. Ratio of mixer drum inner length and diameter is , where L is mixer drum length, D is mixer drum diameter, k is charging-discharge opening and drum diameter ratio. Trigger mechanism is formed as cam mechanism with roller-type pusher equipped with device for providing engagement between roller-type pusher and cam, or in the form of electromagnetic pulse-type pusher. Mentioned mechanism is mounted on frame. Such construction allows drum charging and discharge operations to be simplified and metal usage to be reduced due to optimum sizes of drum. Besides, usage of single drive for rotation and rocking of drum, as well as adjustment of parameters of physical pendulum for frequency approximating resonance frequency allow friction losses to be reduced and, consequently, power consumed for drum rocking to be decreased.
