FIELD: power plant engineering. SUBSTANCE: steam generator is assembled of several modules placed between reactor vessel and core. Each module has heat-transfer surface in the form of multiple-entry coils, secondary coolant inlet and outlet assembly made in the form of tube plate, inlet and outlet tubes. Horizontal sections of inlet tubes in bottom part of steam generator connected to inlet ends of coils laid in one direction are arranged respectively in one half of module relative to its vertical symmetry plane and those connected to inlet ends of coils laid in other direction are placed in its other half. Such arrangement makes it possible to inspect every tube of steam generator due to easy access through tube plate accommodating inlet and outlet ends of tubes without increasing steam generator size.
