FIELD: power engineering; chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed heat exchanger is mainly designed for nuclear reactors; it includes tubular coil secured on fins between inner and outer cylindrical shells which form passage for heat-transfer agent; each shell consists of two movably connected layers consisting of separate elements mounted at clearance relative to each other; this clearance is overlapped by adjacent layer; one end of each fin ism secured on inner or outer layer of one of shells. Each fin may be secured at both ends on opposite inner and outer layer of opposite shells through compensating member. Inner and outer layers of each shell are interconnected by means of pin for motion relative to each other.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to avoidance of bypass flows.
