FIELD: electrical engineering, protection of A C electric installations against short-circuits, overcurrent tripping mechanisms for automatic switches. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has current transformers, rectifier, measurement element and actuator. Technical objective of invention consists in suppression of dependence of time lag during short-circuit on type of abnormal condition ( single-, double-, three-phase ) and value of current, in improvement of conditions for matching of selectivity stages in protected installation, in increased noise immunity and reliability of device without current and time reset ratios.
