FIELD: surface cleaning equipment. SUBSTANCE: cleaning head has cleaning liquid stirring device which comes into contact with surface to be cleaned for stirring cleaning liquid. Device for supplying cleaning liquid to surface is positioned in the vicinity of liquid stirring device. Air channel to be connected to suction source has at least one opening for collecting liquid from surface by suction. Cleaning head has device for moving cleaning liquid stirring device relative to cleaning head body between operative and inoperative positions and valve driven for operation in accordance with position of cleaning liquid stirring device to supply cleaning liquid, when cleaning liquid stirring device is in operative position, and to prevent supplying of liquid, when mentioned device is in inoperative position. Such construction allows excessive liquid to be removed from surface together with contaminants. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved cleaning quality. 17 cl, 5 dwg
