GAS-AND-LIQUID SEPARATOR Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: separation of gas and liquid mixtures; oil, gas and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: gas-and-liquid separator has housing with gas liquid mixture inlet branch pipes and gas and liquid outlet branch pipes, coagulator located in housing and entrainment separator mounted before gas outlet branch pipe and drain tubes. Mounted between coagulator base and wall of housing is distributing L-shaped duct whose horizontal member is connected with wall of housing and vertical member is connected with coagulator base in such way that cavity formed by wall of housing and distributing duct is communicated with cavity of gas-and-liquid mixture inlet branch pipe. Distributing duct is multi-section unit. Besides that, vertical partition is mounted between distributing duct and wall of housing. Distributing duct is made in form of ring at diameter of 0.8 to 0.9 of diameter of housing and its height is equal to 1.5 to 4 diameters of gas-and-liquid mixture inlet branch pipe. Centrifugal members are also mounted on bases of coagulator and entrainment separator. Upper end of centrifugal members of coagulator is located at level of horizontal member of distributing duct. Base of entrainment separator is located at distance equal to 0.5 to 1.5 of diameter of housing from base. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation. 7 cl, 2 dwg
