The scrubber also has a drip pan, an impingement plate and gas and fluid outlet branch pipes. Conical entrainment separator 4 is mounted coaxially and in a spaced relation to diffuser 3, it has perforated horizontal plate 5. The inner generatrix of plate 5 is mounted in a spaced relation to the body wall. Moreover, vertical plates 6 forming an annular clearance between each other are mounted over the surface of horizontal perforated plate 5 between the diffuser and the body wall. The lower generatrices of the vertical plates are located on an inclined surface connecting the lower edge of diffuser 3 to the outer generatrix of horizontal perforated plate 5.
