FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine vessels breaking ice cover by resonance flexible gravitational waves. SUBSTANCE: submarine vessel runs along edge of thicker ice at some distance from it to ensure superposition of fore waves reflected from edge of ice onto aft waves at maximum total amplitude. Maximum total amplitude is determined and maintained by minimum hydrostatic pressure with the aid of pressure sensor located in aft extremity. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking. 2 cl, 3 dwg
