FIELD: shipbuilding; method of breaking ice cover.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes deceleration of submarine vessel running at resonance speed near edge of thick ice. Impact wave and reflected impact wave are applied on flexural gravitational waves at maximum total amplitude.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking ice cover.
