FIELD: power engineering; power plants. SUBSTANCE: two-stroke engine has horizontal cylinder block accommodating two fixed supercharging pistons furnished with water cooling jacket and two-leaf lip-type seal. Air branch pipe with automatic air valve is installed inside piston. Two stationary working pistons are secured on cylinder block from opposite side. Diameter of these pistons is smaller than that of supercharging pistons furnished with cooling water jacket. Metal gaskets installed under piston flanges are designed to control compression ratio. Fuel and water pump-nozzles, laser beam guide and exhaust valve with exhaust branch pipe are placed inside pistons. Cast integral supercharging cylinders and working cylinders paired by bottoms move coaxially between pistons. Cylinders are provided with cooling wells between bottoms communicating through channels with crankshaft, connecting rod and hollow pin. Supercharging and working cylinders are placed in communication through bypass valve. Guide vanes installed in valve housing create vortex flow, tangential relative to working cylinder walls, into which direct injection of fuel by pump-nozzle is provided. Cylinders paired by bottoms are fitted onto one cylinder pin and are connected, through split-head connecting rod, with crank of single-throw shaft provided with cams for driving pump-nozzles and exhaust valve. Flywheel is mounted on output end of shaft. Supercharging pistons are furnished with replaceable head pressing two-leaf lip-type compression seal. Exhaust branch pipe of exhaust valve has water jacket. Working cylinders are also provided with cooling jacket. Cooling liquid from hollow pin gets into cooling wells wherefrom it passes into cooling jacket of working cylinder and flows out through lubricating holes of working piston outer walls. Exhaust valve is driven by two parallel rockers connected by tie-rod. EFFECT: improved efficiency in operation. 4 cl, 2 dwg
