In this case, the engine contains at least one stepped cylinder (6) with a head (7) including a constant volume afterburning chamber (8), two adjacent thermal working chambers (9) and a working chamber (11) of an air compressor formed with the participation of surfaces doubled through the inter-piston skirt (18) of two-sided thermal and compressor stepped pistons (5). The heater (14) and the refrigerator (15) are separated by a heat insulator (13). The refrigerator (15) is made in the form of an outer jacket of the cylinder (6), and the heater (14) is in the form of a volumetric inner jacket of the cylinder (6). The implementation of the thermal working chamber (9) of internal combustion and the afterburning chamber (8) is also disclosed.
