FIELD: mechanical engineering; power plants of different application. SUBSTANCE: proposed two-stroke engine has horizontal cylinder block accommodating four fixed supercharging pistons and four working pistons. Spacer bushings press two-leaf compression lip-type seal. Air branch pipes with automatic air valves are found inside supercharging pistons. Four fixed working pistons whose size is smaller than that of supercharging pistons are connected to cylinder block at opposite side. Compression ratio adjusting gaskets are installed under piston flanges. Fuel and water injector units, laser beam guide and exhaust valve with exhaust branch pipe are arranged inside working pistons. Cast integral supercharging and working cylinders move between pistons. Cylinders are coaxial and paired by bottoms. They communicate through automatic bypass valves in horizontal of which guide blades are installed. Two pairs of cast integral cylinders paired by bottoms are connected to cylinder pin. Split connecting rod head is connected to middle of cylinder pin. Connecting rod has lip-type seal telescopically fitted in branch pipe-cylinder connected with oil pump to deliver cooling liquid into cooling wells between bottoms of paired cylinders. Split head of connecting rod transmitting reciprocation to three-section double-acting piston pump with lip-type seal is connected to middle of cylinder pin at other side. High-pressure liquid is used in hydraulic drive of driving mechanism. Device converting reciprocating motion of horizontal cylinders into rotary motion of output shaft by means of gears is mounted on outer ends of cylinder pin. Camshaft has flywheel, oil pump gear and cams arranged at angle of 180 deg. to drive injector units and exhaust valve through rockers. Supercharging pistons have replaceable heads. Ring with segment cut is connected by studs to working piston head, and spacer ring with rounded off faces pressing compression lip-type seal is installed. Supercharging cylinders and working cylinders have water jackets. EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine and its service life. 6 cl, 4 dwg
