SELECTIVE SYSTEM DETERMINING RANGE FOR COMBAT COMPLEX Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2154808 C2

FIELD: digital systems measuring range by radiation reflected from target. SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes laser range finder incorporating radiation transmitter and receiver. System makes it feasible to process data on range to target in specified range interval. Nearest boundary of interval is set by operator and far boundary is established automatically in correspondence with specified law depending of dynamic characteristics of particular guided missile. Second version of system makes it possible for operator to set center of interval of measured range. In this case nearest and far boundary of interval are established automatically according to specified law. It is achieved by conversion of established range of register connected to unit of permanent storage to code of minimal range by third output of permanent storage connected to second input of first comparison circuit. Data on measured range to target go to output of range finder only if target is present within established interval of ranges. In opposite case value of range either equal to value of nearest boundary of interval of ranges or to value set by operator is fed to output of range finder. EFFECT: increased automation level and noise immunity. 5 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
