FIELD: biodegradable packages. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes the following stages: 1 - forming multitude of particles containing foamed mixture of starch, biodegradable polymer and water; 2 - application of nonheated liquid onto surfaces of particles for wetting and softening the surfaces; 3 - compression of surface-softened particles without application of external heat to provide cohesion between surfaces of softened particles, compacting of particles and forming article of required shape; 4 - holding of thus shaped article under compression for a period sufficient for losing stickiness owing to adsorption of wetting liquid by particles and evaporation of liquid. Surface-wetted particles are located in lower part of transportation conveyor, and article to be transported is placed on wetted particles for final compression, leaving the space between outer side walls of article and inner side walls of container, with covering the article with wetted particles to level higher than that on container side walls. Then container is closed to provide compression of wetted particles and their cohesion according to configuration of inner surface of container and outer surface of article. Package, thus formed, absorbs impacts better than cartons in transportation. EFFECT: provision of easy biodegradation. 9 cl, 6 dwg
