FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: method includes modifying resonator electrodes with sorbent followed by drying, passing air being investigated through resonator, registration of analytic signal, and regeneration of sorbent. More particularly, sensor electrodes are modified with toluene solutions of polystyrene and trialkylamine oxides or trialkylphosphine oxides applied in layers with total weight 5-7 mcg and equal weight proportions in film. Method allows lowering detection threshold by 0.5 mg/cu.m and reducing total analysis time by 2 times and, for repeated assessment on preliminarily formed sorbent, by 3-3.5 times. Assessment error is lowered by 5-10%, aniline sensitivity of sensor is doubled, and assessment selectivity is significantly increased.
