FIELD: analytical chemistry of organic compounds (separation and analysis). SUBSTANCE: invention can find use for development of tests establishing presence of organic toxicants in gas effluent of chemical plants. It deals with determination of phenol and other aromatic hydrocarbons with content of phenol in mixture upwards of 30 mas.%. Sample is filtered through filter treated with mixture of 4-aminoantipyrine and polystyrene. Vapors are detected by means of piezoelectric quartz resonator on which electrodes film coats are applied. Electrodes of piezoelectric resonator are modified by film with mass of 10-20 micrograms based on propolis and mixture of polystyrene with 4-aminoantipyrine or trialkylphosphinoxide. EFFECT: raised reliability of method. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
