FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of extra-corporal correction of blood cell composition in treatment of patients with diseases accompanying with deterioration of erythrocytes deformability in blood. In the process of treatment after termination of complete course of curative plasmapheresis extracorporal three-fold discontinuous washing out erythrocytes in patient circulating blood (50% by volume) in sterile 0.85% sodium chloride solution in the ratio 1 part of blood cells to 10 parts of indicated solution is carried out. Method provides improvement of life quality in patients with complicated forms of diabetes mellitus. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of curative plasmapheresis.
