SUBSTANCE: burner whose "vivid flame" causes certain glowing of artificial firewood or coal has combustion chamber filled with circulating mixture of combustible gas and flame-maintaining primary air with flat sheet mounted in top part of combustion chamber. Artificial fuel is placed on flat sheet which has holes for passing mentioned mixture. Holes are arranged over sheet periphery. At least one slit is provided in flat sheet. Holes border on one side on outer perimeter of sheet and on other side, on slit outline. EFFECT: improved uniformity of flame distribution. 2 cl, 2 dwg
