FIELD: aircraft manufacture; improvement of aerodynamic properties of lifting surfaces of supersonic flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: lower portion of each rib (in zone of considerable aerodynamic heating) is provided with additional load- bearing member made in form of rod compressed in cold state. Internal forces will be absent in rod when it is in heated state and shape of profile will correspond to shape of rib selected according to flying conditions at supersonic speed. EFFECT: possibility of changing geometry of central portion of lifting surface profile; improved aerodynamic properties; reduced consumption of fuel; increased flying range. 2 dwg
