FIELD: road building materials and preparation of asphalt-concrete mixes for coatings in aerodrome construction, highway and hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: asphalt-concrete mix is prepared by mixing mixture of mineral powder with fiber which is added into mixer prior to stirring process and heated stone materials and bitumen are then added and stirred to form homogeneous mixture. Fibers include coarse basalt fiber having good adhesion with bitumen, high strength and rigidity. Said basalt fiber is added uniformly to mineral powder. Length of fibers is 2-40 mm, diameter is 150-200 mcm and amount is 0.8-1.1 wt % of weight of mineral materials.
