FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has housing with ellipse-shaped profiled working surface, cylindrical rotor installed on shaft and furnished with two rocking pistons in contact with working surface of housing. Engine has end face covers, gas exchange system made in form of intake and exhaust ports, and spark plugs. Eccentricity of ellipse is 0.4-0.8. Smaller axis defines diameter of rotor.
