FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary piston internal combustion engine has body with cylindrical inner working surface, end covers, intake and exhaust ports, spark plug and cylindrical rotor. Rotor is installed eccentrically relative to working surface of body provided with radial movable gates mounted in rotor slots and forming delivery and expansion spaces between body and rotor. Rotor is made with grooves on generatrix. Arc-shaped plates are installed for rocking in said grooves. These hinge-mounted plates follow cylindrical surface of rotor. Number of plate corresponds to number of gates. Bypass groove are made on outer cylindrical surface of rotor between arc-shaped plates and gates. Channels made in slots for gates connect space of slot with outer surface of rotor. Springs are fitted in rotor slots under gates.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine in operation, simplified design.
