FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: solar battery has separate flat rectangular panels whose frames are made of carbon- filled plastic tubes with screen cloth fitted onto and secured on frame. Frame tubes form cells to receive solar battery modules. The latter accommodate photoconverters connected in series or in series-parallel. Used as substrate is polyamide film placed between rear side of photoconverter and that of safety glass plate. Photoconverter is attached to substrate by sticking it to rear safety glass plate through perforation in film substrate. Photoconverters are commutated by means of molybdenum buses covered with multilayer metal and soldered (welded) at separate points on two sides of photoconverters; soldered (welded) points are spaced apart on face and rear sides. Commutating buses have expansion bend in vicinity of member-to-member transition. Photoconverters are rectangular in shape and have four angular cuts forming free gaps to receive oval or round nonmetal load-bearing members (buttons) with holes stuck to substrate to ensure uniform adhesion of module to screen cloth. Angular cuts on photoconverters function to enlarge member-to-member commutation area. EFFECT: simplified design, facilitated manufacture, improved resistance to mechanical and cyclic heat loads and repairability at all production stages. 1 cl, 5 dwg
