FIELD: fire-fighting engineering, applicable for creation of screening devices with the aim of reflection of radiant energy arising in case of fire. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in installation of a gauze screen and delivery of a protective cooling curtain to it, the protective curtain is created in the form of a film flow of cooling agent. Creation of the protective cooling curtain in the form of a film flow of applied to the gauze curtain makes it possible to reduce the total consumption of cooling agent by more than 40 times as compared with a similar drip flow and weaken the heat flow by more than 10 times.
