FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing ultrasonic examination using transvaginal transducer set at an angle of 75 to 90 deg relative to the rectum. Scanning with the transducer is carried out in longitudinal and transverse direction. The examination is carried out during the second phase of menstrual cycle. An echo-negative zone of semilunar or elongated oval shape being found on the echogram, proliferation is diagnosed in the area of the rectum. EFFECT: excluded non-objective influence in detecting disease signs; enhanced accuracy of diagnosis; simplified method.
