COMBINED MANIPULATOR-MASSEUR Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: massotherapy. SUBSTANCE: manipulator-masseur has casing with handle, disks mounted for movement on shafts, and roll surrounded with working members of different shape made from different materials, including ebonite. Working members are interconnected by mechanical gears. Axes of rotation of disks and roll are lying in single or parallel planes. Disks are staggered relative to roll and connected to it by mechanical gears in planes perpendicular to planes of rotation. Disks are surrounded with finger-shaped working members. Manipulator-masseur of such construction is adapted for combined action upon user's body: stretching of soft tissues in the manner similar to that of Japanese "shiatsu" therapy, rubbing surface under massage with dielectric material, such as ebonite, and manipulating with soft tissues by compression and stretching.
