FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: ajurvedic medicinal plants for preparation making are taken among Solanum xanthocorpum, Curcuma longa, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Adhatova vasika, Zingiber officinale, Terminalia belerica, Solanum indicum, Ocimum sanctum, Saussurea lappa, Piper cubeba, Aloe barbadensis, Inula racemosa, Piper longum. Method of preparing the preparation involves the following stages: 800 l of purified water is placed into vessel, boiled for 10 min, cooled to 80 C and the following preserving agents are added, kg: sodium benzoate, 6.300; sodium methylparaben, 1.800; sodium propyl-paraben 0.900; sorbic acid, 0.900 and stirred thoroughly up to complete dissolving. Sucrose (1500 kg) is added to mixture, stirred to its complete dissolving and then glycerol (100 kg) is added. The following preserving agents are added to water at 80 C, kg: sodium benzoate, 0.700; sodium methylparaben, 0.200; sodium propylparaben, 0.100 and sorbic acid, 0.100. Before each addition mixture is stirred thoroughly up to complete dissolving the preliminary added component. Dried powder extracts are dissolved in solution for preserving agents. Aqueous extract solutions are mixed into vessel made of stainless steel, stirred for 18 h at 20-25 C, extract solution is filtered, filtrate is transferred to sugar syrup, mixed and stirred thoroughly. Then syrup is cooled, filtered and pH value is brought about to 4.5-5.5 by addition of 1.3 kg of citric acid. Dye (0.6 kg) is dissolved in 3 l of water at 80 C and this solution is added to syrup mass. Menthol is added to 4 l of pine-apple perfume and this solution is added to syrup mass and stirred for 15 min. Then sufficient amount of boiled and cooled water is added and volume is brought about to 2000 l, mixed and stirred thoroughly. Invention ensures to obtain the preparation showing activity against all cough types and without adverse effects. EFFECT: improved method of preparing, enhanced anticoughing activity. 6 cl, 2 dwg, 5 tbl, 4 ex
