FIELD: tea industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tea industry. Composition for production of a beverage, decoction or composition based on herbs, vegetables and/or spices contains a layer of a plant-based fibrous product and a vegetal extract applied on it. Vegetable extract is applied on a layer of a fibrous product based on plants after formation of a layer, where the layer of the fibrous product contains (i) tea fibers, herb fibers or mixtures thereof and (ii) cellulose fibers and where component (ii) does not originate from component (i). Method of producing the disclosed composition involves the following steps. Components of at least one plant are extracted with the help of a solvent. Soluble part (vegetal extract) is separated from insoluble part (solid vegetable particles) and insoluble part is optionally ground. Product in form of sheet is obtained from insoluble part. Soluble part is optionally concentrated. Soluble or concentrated soluble part is applied onto the sheet and dried. Composition is used to produce a beverage, a decoction or a composition based on herbs, vegetables and/or spices. Beverage is obtained by contacting the composition with water. Tea product contains a composition and is packed into a tea bag, a tea disc, a tea container or a tea capsule or is prepared in the form of a tea tablet.

EFFECT: result of group of inventions consists in improvement of quality of extracts for production of tea beverages, achievement of rapid extraction, more effective infusion in boiling water, hot water and room temperature water (compared to traditional infusions produced from vegetable raw material in its natural unprocessed form), providing a beverage with standardized characteristics.
