FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for abrasive machining of surfaces of machine elements. Flexible agent is placed in tool cavity under pressure, and tool is brought into contact with surface being machined. Process lubricating fluid is used as flexible agent. Flexible operating surface of tool is provided with channels. Process lubricating fluid is delivered to machining zone through channels due to superposition of ultrasonic oscillations on it. As a result, viscosity of process lubricating fluid is reduced, and its penetrability is enhanced. Energy of oscillations is transmitted to flexible operating surface of tool and to abrasive grains. EFFECT: improved quality of machining. 1 dwg
