FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining the number of circulating immune complexes in peripheral blood serum in acute period of craniocerebral trauma. Serum reaction with 3.75% solution of polyethylene glycol-6000 is used with following spectrophotometry applied. The number of circulating immune complexes being greater than 50 units/ml and corresponding clinical symptoms and no concomitant pathologic phenomena being observed, concussion of the brain is to be diagnosed.
