SUBSTANCE: described is method of controlling growth of weeds in locus which comprises introducing into said locus synergistically effective amount of (a) 4- benzoylisoxazole of formula I: wherein R is hydrogen or CO₂R³ (R³ is as defined above); R¹ is cyclopropyl; R² is selected from halogen, -S(O)_pMe and C_1-6 alkyl halide, n is integer of 2 or 3, p is integer of 0 or 2 and R³ is C_1-4- alkyl; and (b) chloroacet amide herbicide of formula II: Ar-N(R²¹)COCH₂Cl (II) wherein R²¹ is alkoxyalkyl having up to six carbon atoms; Ar is thienyl or phenyl optionally substituted by one or more groups; C_1-6 alkyl. Also described are herbicidal composition and product. Composition has high activity which makes it possible to reduce its herbicidal application rate and retains selectivity and agriculture effectiveness.
