FIELD: biotechnological methods for oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: bacterial strain isolated from soil polluted by petroleum derivatives is cultured for 120 h in liquid nutrient medium containing mineral salts, soya been flour, molasses, and sterile peat as filler at 28 C under aerobic conditions. Then, bacteria are additionally grown for 120 h at 3 C. Destructive activity of preparation containing thus grown strain with regard to petroleum hydrocarbons and derivatives at working concentration of bacteria 0.1% ranges between 86.4 and 93.7% within a wide temperature range: from 3 to Ц40 C.
