FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: vehicle magnetic clutch has two rotors rotating independently. Rotors are coupled to driving and driven members of transmission, respectively. One rotor is made in form of multipolar inductor, and other rotor is provided with induced member made of ferromagnetic material on which winding turns are positioned. Leads of windings are connected to electric generator electrically. Rotor of electric generator is coupled mechanically to driving member of transmission. Independently rotating rotor coupled to driving member of transmission may be made as monoblock together with electric generator rotor. Electric generator may use circuit which allows it to operate as electric motor. Invention allows considerable excess of rotational frequency of magnetic clutch driven member over that of driving member (multiplication mode) at high efficiency and preservation of modes of direct transmission, reduction and reverse.
