VEHICLE MAGNETIC CLUTCH Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2130559 C1

FIELD: transport engineering; clutches. SUBSTANCE: vehicle magnetic clutch has two independently rotating rotors connected, respectively, with driving and driven members of transmission. One rotor is made in form of multiple pole inductor, and the other has inducible member made of ferromagnetic material. Clutch has windings whose turns are arranged in slots of inducible member. Leads of windings are electrically coupled with electric motor mechanically connected with transmission driven member. EFFECT: reduced mechanical losses at slipping of clutch members in process of torque transmission, provision of reversing. 2 cl, 2 dwg
