FIELD: applied geophysics. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for measuring of natural radiation or induced ran isotopes in rocks. The method involves detection of spectra of natural or induced gamma-radiation in sampling intervals in depth or time using respective increments, measuring power intensity in given adjacent spectral regions, and calculation of element content by means of solving matrix of simultaneous equations. The method uses sensitivity matrix, which is produced from spectral measurement results in k standard samples of elements content in normal conditions by means of solving equations.
