FIELD: nuclear geophysics. SUBSTANCE: method consists in irradiation of rocks with flux of fast neutrons and in registration of induced gamma radiation of isotope of aluminium-28 with movement of borehole tool with optimum speed followed by breakdown of geological section into petrographic lithotypes and by determination of terrigeneous and carbonate parts of section. Intensity of induced gamma radiation of isotope Ba-137m is registered in addition by which anomaly values position and boundaries are defined more exactly in sections of borehole of potential oil and gas collectors. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of detection of potential oil and gas collectors in borehole drilled with the use of barite drilling fluid. 1 dwg
