FIELD: biodegradation of iron cyanides contained in waste. SUBSTANCE: iron cyanides K4Fe(CN)6 and/or K3Fe[CN]6 are decomposited by fungi selected from Fusarium solani, Trichoderma polysporum, Fusarium oxysporum, Scytalidium thermophilum, Penicillium miczynski with pH of medium of not more than 7.5, preferably 3-6. The resulting water has low content of cyanide ion. Method is cheaper than chemical processing methods. EFFECT: more efficient biodegradation. 3 cl, 2 dwg
