FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing electrochemical active substances, which are used as (cathode) materials, and can be used for production of improved cathode active material for metal-ion accumulators and batteries based on them. Improvement of physical and chemical characteristics, high specific energy intensity and stability of operating characteristics during long-term operation at different current densities is the technical result, which is achieved by a method of producing a cathode material, which includes a step for producing primary particles of an active material by a hydrothermal method, mixing primary particles with a conductive and binding component, one or more, in a suspension and spraying the suspension, containing mixture of primary particles and component(s) by means of spray drier at temperature from 120 to 300°C.
EFFECT: proposed method of preparation enables accurate control of the shape of the secondary particle, the content of the conductive and binder component therein; method of producing cathode material is scalable, efficient and feasible.
