FIELD: wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed chamber is provided with non-reversible fans as compared with known chambers which are located vertically one after another over entire height between collecting and distributing passages and between wall of chamber and lumber pile in the middle of its length. For more smooth distribution of air over length of lumber pile, distributing passage has variable section and profiled side wall along length; collecting passage has constant section lengthwise, thus facilitating distribution of air in pile. EFFECT: high degree of smooth circulation of air in height and length of pile; improved quality of drying. 2 dwg
