FIELD: mining industry; applicable in breaking of rock mass in driving of mine workings by shearer method. SUBSTANCE: working tool of shearer includes boom with supporting and rotating device and planetary member installed on boom and having central shaft and bars interconnected by planetary gear. Accommodated in hollow central shaft is hollow shaft of burster with inlet ports in its front. Bar reducing gears are attached to central shaft and boom for rotation together with central shaft in direction contrary to motion of cutters which circumscribe elongated epicycloids to fulfil functions of rock breaking, dust suppression, crushing of muck and its loading through burster inlet ports for further haulage. Axes of bars and central shaft may be parallel or intersected in point located beyond working member in front of central shaft axis. Crown bits may be installed on bars interconnected by planetary gear with one another and with central shaft. Burster inlet ports may be made in form of net with possible dust exhaust from zone of working member action. EFFECT: combined advantages of boom and planetary working tools, increased breakage efficiency, efficient driving of working in hard rocks by shearers, units boom-shaped working tool.
