FIELD: mining industry; applicable in driving of mine workings. SUBSTANCE: universal tunneling unit includes cutting-loading member with inlet windows, boom of actuating member with central hollow shaft and spaced drives, turning devices of actuating member and unit in form of spherical supports, movable body with traveling mechanism which is made hollow in form of continuous series of hollow parts provided with hydropneumatic elevators. Continuous series of hollow parts with hydropneumatic transportation devices has screw conveyer whose front section is located in hollow central shaft of working and cutting-loading member. Rear drive section is located in cavity of movable body with traveling mechanism having discharge windows at much discharge to means of its further transportation over mine working. Adjacent sections of screw conveyer are interconnected in points of turning devices of actuating member and unit by Hooke's joint located in center of spheres of turning devices to fulfill function of gummer at pneumohydraulic transport or self-contained screw conveyer as type of transport. Discharge windows of movable body with traveling mechanism may be provided with branch pipes for interconnection with receiving devices of various transportation and dust suction means over mine working. In case of use of unit with loading device, for instance, in form of receiving table with gathering arms, front section of screw conveyer located in cavity of central shaft of actuating member may be provided with self-contained drive. EFFECT: efficient loading of muck from critical points of breakage face with respect to loading, provided application of unit with various haulage means over mine workings excluded gumming and clogging of transportation means with muck within boundaries of unit. 3 cl, 4 dwg
