FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed two-stroke engine has cylinder block and outer heads installed in cylinder and provided with ports. Pistons are fitted on rod which is arranged along cylinder axis in head holes for reciprocating. Rod, when reciprocating, gets outwards through hole in outer heads through value of piston stroke and rod stroke in cylinder. Shaped plates installed on ends of rod are designed for opening the valves. Each outer head is provided with two scavenging valves which can be used for discharge of exhaust gases and intake of fuel mixture in carburetor engine. Each shaped plate is provided with shock absorbing cover plate from inner side. Each valve is also furnished with cover plate at outer side. Rod head is hinge-coupled with crankshaft and flywheel mounted outside the engine. Engine is hinge-coupled with support in cross axis. EFFECT: reduced weight-to-power unit ratio. 2 cl, 6 dwg
