FIELD: drying equipment, applicable for drying of loose materials, in particular, for drying of wood shavings. SUBSTANCE: the forward-flow, counter- flow sections in the drum and the section for withdrawal of drying agent located between them are separated from one another by annular partitions, with lesser and larger inside diameters, interconnected by a shaped downcomerless fin. The drum has reticular end walls and a vertical disk installed in the section for withdrawal of drying agent for movement in the axis of the drum and fixing of its position with the aid of which the degree of filling of the forward-flow section with material is adjusted. The degree of filling of the counter-flow section with material is adjusted by displacement of the reticular end wall. Drying agent is fed through the reticular end walls and withdrawn through the orifices in the drum. EFFECT: intensified process of material drying. 3 dwg
