FIELD: school furniture. SUBSTANCE: desk has table top and seat connected one with the other. Desk may be converted into table, table for working in standing position, and it may be also converted into drawing-board and display table. Seat is equipped with pivot joint and retainer for rotation and fixation in vertical position. Desk has rods connected to table top frame and to retainer and is positioned in guides, and bars mounted for displacement along guides and allowing desk to be converted into different articles. Desk of such construction may be used in designing of multi-functional furniture for schools, with individual anthropometric and age peculiarities being taken into account. Furniture produced on the basis of such desk provides convenient posture, with fixed distance between user's spine and seat. Table top and seat position in vertical plane and angular position may be smoothly adjusted. EFFECT: simplified construction, wider range of furniture articles which may be obtained by simplified conversion procedures, and enhanced reliability in operation. 8 dwg
