FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining maximum upper threshold acoustic frequency ((λm)) perceptible by the patient basilar membrane and maximum frequency ((λm0)) of sound perceptible by the standard basilar membrane, having length L0=32 mm. Human internal ear basilar membrane length is determined using formula L = L0x221g(λm/λm0), where L is the patient basilar membrane length, L0 is the standard basilar membrane length, λm is the maximum acoustic frequency perceptible by the patient basilar membrane, λm0 is the max acoustic frequency perceptible by the standard basilar membrane. Otherwise, the human internal ear basilar membrane length is determined from audiometric upper hearing threshold boundary in graphical way. EFFECT: noninvasive method. 2 cl, 1 dwg
