FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves interpreting audiometric and psychophysical studies results in terms of tone pitch correspondence between sound tone percepted by hearing (in mels) and acoustic frequency coming to the ear (in Hz). Acoustic frequency range is determined resulting in sound perception as tone of the same pitch. Its number is calculated in common acoustic bandwidth. The pitch is set as order number of acoustic frequency interval reaching the ear as hair cell of the internal row producing nervous impulse causing auditory tone perception.
