FIELD: pulp dewatering. SUBSTANCE: water separator has revolving drum-type filter; suction pipe provided with inlet and outlet, its inlet communicating with inner space of revolving drum-type filter; compressed air feeding pipe connected to suction pipe in section downstream of inlet and communicating with suction pipe; air compressor that delivers compressed air to air feeding pipe. Vacuum is built up inside revolving drum- type filter by supplying compressed air from air compressor to suction pipe through compressed air feeding pipe. Filtered-off liquid is accumulated in special tank; suction pipe outlet is located in mentioned special tank so that filtered-off liquid flows in the form of jet out of suction pipe and hits side wall of special tank that accumulates filtered-off liquid or surface of liquid filling the tank.
